Bring Your Recyclables
Throughout the festival we will have a Recycling Booth being run by The West Linn Sustainability Coalition. They will be collecting pre-sorted, clean, and dry recyclables in the following categories:
Clear #1 PET plastics (these are typically berry clamshells, salad greens containers, egg cartons, and various others). They MUST have a #1 on them inside the recycling triangle and they must be clean. We cannot accept non-clear items, or other numbers. We will be sorting them as you bring them to the table and sending you home with anything that is not a clear #1 plastic.
Household batteries: Alkaline, hearing aid, rechargeable and small lithium-ion batteries.
Oral Care + Deodorant: Empty, clean and dry oral care: toothbrushes, electric toothbrush heads, toothpaste tubes, mouthwash containers, floss containers + deodorant containers/lids. Please cut open and rinse out. We will also accept floss picks and floss string, but please keep these separate from the rest of the category.
Disposable Razors, replacement blades and their plastic packaging.
Writing instruments: pens, markers, watercolors paint sets, and glue sticks and their plastic packaging.
Biodegradable Plastics: Empty, clean, and dry biodegradable plastic. These will say biodegradable or compostable somewhere on them, and typically have a PLA #7 on the bottom.
Media: CDs and DVDs, blu ray disks, floppy disks, memory sticks, (No media players/devices will be accepted).
